Fully funded University of Lausanne Scholarship 2024-25 | UNIL Scholarship in Switzerland

International students interested in pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Lausanne Scholarship, Switzerland, for the academic year 2024–2025 can apply for UNIL Master’s Grants. Every year, UNIL awards about ten scholarships.

Masters scholarships are excellence awards given only to students with exceptionally high academic standing who have completed their degrees from foreign universities. The University of Lausanne in Switzerland offers the UNIL Master’s Grants to international students on a competitive basis.

It is not possible to apply for the following programmes:

  • Master from the School of Medicine
  • Master of Education
  • Master of Law from the Universities of Zurich and Lausanne
  • Master of criminal Law, magistracy specialism
  • Master of Science in Physical Education and Sports Didactics
  • Master of Science in Health Sciences
  • All MASs (PhD programmes)

Note that only two specializations—”international and comparative law” and “legal theory”—are accepting applications for master’s scholarships in the field of law.

University of Lausanne Scholarship Coverage

  • The scholarship is awarded for the minimum legally required time frame of the student’s selected program. For the entire duration of the master’s program one and a half years or two years, depending on the chosen master it amounts to CHF 1,600 per month from September 15 to July 15 (or 10 months a year), except cases of definitive failure after the first year.
  • Applicants are informed that the amount of the scholarship awarded does not cover living expenses in Switzerland.

  • Scholarship recipients will not be required to pay the course’s fixed registration fees, except the CHF 80.00 required each semester.

Eligibility Criteria for the University of Lausanne Scholarship

  • Required Languages: English or French is required
  • Eligible Countries: All World Countries can able to apply
  • To have made a name for yourself while you were an undergraduate, particularly with excellent grades.
  • No have completed a bachelor’s degree at a foreign institution that UNIL considered equivalent to a bachelor’s degree before the master’s program at UNIL started.
  • Not to have previously registered with UNIL.
  • To possess at least a B2 proficiency in French or English, depending on the language used for instruction in your chosen master’s program, as measured by the European Language Portfolio global scale.
  • To have paid the administration fee of CHF 200.00.

How to Apply for the University of Lausanne Scholarship?

Required Documents for UNIL Master’s Grants:

  • A JPEG-formatted passport-sized photo is uploaded to the application.
  • The application is properly filled out and signed.
  • A certified copy of your academic credentials and all grade transcripts from university exams taken.
  • A duplicate of your high school certificate. Diplomas not written in French, German, English, or Italian must be translated into those languages by a certified or notarized translator.
  • A copy of your bachelor’s degree program description from the final semester, if one hasn’t been earned yet.
  • A duplicate of your identity card or passport.
  • A letter of cover.
  • A comprehensive resume.
