It has two seasonal programs. One of which is the Temporary Foreign Agricultural Worker Program. In Canada, many employers offer seasonal jobs for both International and Canadian citizens.

The foreigners do not need a high qualification for the agriculture jobs in Canada. They can easily apply for these jobs even if they have Primary or secondary education. More detail is given below.

In the Temporary Foreign Agricultural Worker Program workers get the following benefits:

  • The employers in Canada will cover your health insurance.
  • Suitable, and affordable housing must be provided by the employer in Canada.
  • The employers are also responsible for the round-trip transportation of the employee. They pay your transportation cost which includes going to work and coming back home.
  • Some employers in Canada also train the employees.

What is the Duration & Cost of the Canadian Seasonal Work Visa

The duration of the Seasonal work visa in Canada is 3 years. If you get selected for the work visa the Government of Canada will be issued your work permit for 3 years.

Usually, when you apply for a work permit you need to pay CAD 150 as an application fee. And if required you have to pay an additional CAD 85 Biometrics fee.

How to Apply?

The Job Bank Canada website advertises hundreds of jobs daily. You can apply there for seasonal jobs.

  • First, you need to visit the website and then click the advanced options. In advanced options select the “Canadians and international candidates“.
  • After that write your eligible code in the job title. These verified codes are (80020, 80021, 82030, 82031, 84120, 85100, 85101, 85103). 
  • View all types of available seasonal jobs in Canada. And apply for the job according to your interests.
