International Internship Scheme For overseas students, GIP 2025 offers fully paid internship opportunities. The GIP fellowship pays for travel, lodging, a stipend, and a lot more.
The Global Intern Programme (GIP) provides a fantastic opportunity to experience research at GIST by having you join a research lab for eight weeks during the summer and receive invaluable training and mentoring from the lab’s professor. This programme is ideal for those of you who would like to experience the unique research environment and opportunities available at the GIST.
It will be a chance to obtain useful research experience and assist you in determining whether or not pursuing a graduate degree at GIST is suitable for you.

Internship Period:
8-week Laboratory Internship
- Based on your research proposal
- 1-7th week: You should write a short paper and submit
- Eighth week: Prepare your research poster draft for the poster session.
- Your home university, participating GIST laboratory, and yourself will get a book containing your submitted articles and poster.

Eligibility Criteria for the Global Intern Program
The following requirements must be met by applicants for GIP internships:
- English is one of the required languages.
- All international undergraduate seniors and master’s degree candidates from all countries are eligible.
- A 3.0 or higher GPA.
How to Apply for Global Intern Program Internship in 2024-25?
- The applicant has to register here using their email address.
- The application must be completed by the applicant.
- On the application form, candidates should list their top two labs and attach a research plan.

- The applicant has to apply in one of the opportunity areas to be considered for a spot in the selected programme.
- The applicant must consent to follow Korean law and GIST rules.
- The mechanism used by each School/Department to choose interns is unique, and the Section of International Cooperation
- (SIC) is unable to change the procedure or the outcome.
