  1. File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
  2. Graduate from a high school in Michigan in 2025 or with a diploma or certificate of compaction or must have a high school equivalent certificate in 2025 or after.
  3. The candidates must be a Michigan resident or from the previous year. The dependent students must have a FAFSA and lived in Michigan since July 1.
  4. The candidates must have to show their financial need they must have an income of less than $25,000. you will find out this when you file your FAFSA.
  5. the candidates must be enrolled full-time as a degree-seeking student at an eligible Michigan public or private college or university within 15 months of their high school graduation or they are enrolled in a certificate.

How much money can I earn with the Michigan Achievement Scholarship?

The scholarship is announced for the Michigan 2025 graduates will have the three options given below:

  • Up to $2,750 if you attend a Michigan community college, per year, for up to three years.
  • Up to $4,000 if you attend a private college or university, per year, for up to five years.
  • Up to $5,500 if you attend a Michigan public university, per year, for up to five years.

For example, if you are enrolled in Michigan Public University you can make up to $5,500 each year for five years it depending upon your first dollar/last dollar amounts.

Renewal Requirements for the Michigan Achievement Scholarship

You must have to qualify for this Michigan achievement scholarship qualification every year.

  • The candidates have to complete FAFSA each year
  • they must have stayed in Michigan resident
  • they must have an annual income below $25,000 or less
  • The students must have to maintain their satisfactory academic progress at the institution of their choice.

You are eligible to renew your scholarship if you lose your eligibility criteria for the scholarship.

Can transfer students use the Michigan Achievement Scholarship?

The candidate must be a 2025 graduate of a Michigan high school. The candidates who are enrolled in the community college are not eligible to apply.

If you are a 2025 graduate of a Michigan high school then you can also apply for the scholarship at a community or tribal college. The candidates are not eligible to get the scholarship for up to five consecutive years. Candidates with no more than three years are also eligible to apply for this scholarship. The candidates who are enrolled in these scholarships have to maintain their academic records so they can avail the opportunity for the next year.
