Increase the Rate of Social Welfare

The maximum rate of all weekly social assistance payments will rise by €12 starting in January 2024, with increases commensurate with reduced rates of payment and qualifying adult rates.
The weekly fee for an eligible child will increase by €4. The price for children under 12 will increase to €46 from €42. Beginning in January 2024, children 12 years of age and upwards will pay an extra €54 as opposed to €50.
